Win a fantastic 3-night weekend break at the historic  Pilrig House

Competition One

Located on the edge of a tranquil park just a short stroll from the city centre, Pilrig House is a beautiful 17th-century townhouse steeped in history. It was owned by Robert Louis Stevenson’s family for over 200 years and was immortalised in his novels Kidnapped and Catriona.

With private parking, all-inclusive  facilities and welcome treats, a stay at Pilrig House is the ultimate home-from-home experience. Bespoke food hampers, chilled champagne, roses, restaurant bookings and any other preparations to make a stay special can also be effortlessly arranged in advance.

The house sits on the eastern edge of Pilrig Park between Leith and Edinburgh City Centre making it the ideal base for exploring the city.

All apartments have:

Win a walk on the wild side

The West Midland safari park in Bewdley has been voted the Best UK Attraction for Children, and we have teamed up with this fabulous venue to give away five family tickets in our easy-to-enter competition.

Each ticket admits a family of up to four people into the park, before it closes for wintertime on 6 November, 2009.

Winners will have the chance to go on safari and come face to face with all kinds of brilliant animals, including cheetah, the fastest land animal on earth; rare and mysterious white lions; stunning white tigers; girae as tall as a double-decker bus; famous elephants that can paint and play football; rhino that freely roam the animal reserves; mischievous African wild dogs; North American timber wolves and a mob of pure white wallabies, to name just a few.

The amazing self-drive, all-weather, safari covers an area of four miles and you can even feed some of the animals as special diet animal food is available to buy on arrival.

You will also be able to visit the Hippo Lakes, home to the largest group, or pod, of hippo in the country, with its wonderful viewing platform high above the lake. Whilst amusement rides are not included as part of the prize, multi ride wristbands and ride tickets are available to purchase on the day.
